Charlie & Lizzy March 2014

We watched the kids for a few days at the end of March and we had a great time with them.  Making cookies and decorating them is always a bit hit.

Lizzy told me “this is Papa”,  you see the resemblance don’t you??IMG_1413

An even bigger hit is EATING THEM!!IMG_1414

I thought if I made the fruit look fun that Lizzy would try eating it, but NO, not that girl.  If the grapes were chocolate and the banana was a hot dog it would be gone for sure!  But at least Charlie enjoyed his fruit.

Although we do lots of fun things when we’re together like Hide & Go Seek, go to the park, etc., the crafts are always the biggest hit.

I had several projects for them to make, but their favorite were the chicks made from egg cartons.  They painted them, added the beaks & feet, attached the head to the body and filled them chocolate Kisses.  They turned out adorable and I used normal household stuff that I already had.  So if you have kids or grandkids, save your egg cartons!

Of course the chicks needed a home, so they made a nest from a lazy-susan bowl that I had.  Needless to say the chicks got dizzy from the spinning… just another thing they loved about the project… LOL

Bath time is always fun when you can wear Vovo’s bear slippers!

This was really funny and the kids loved it.  We were at the dinner table and Papa picked up two silicone oven mitts and started talking in a funny voice and playing with them.  Check out this video.
