Mother Butler 37th High School Reunion - July 31, 2010

We celebrated our Mother Butler (affectionately know as "MaButts") 37th high school reunion on July 31st. There were 45 'all girl' alumni that attended the afternoon garden luncheon. We had a GREAT time and everyone looked fantastic... what a wonderful group of 55 year olds.

These banners were so fricken funny!!!

My best friend Paula flew down for a few days to stay with me and attend the party. It was a girls weekend and we just hung out and talked and talked and talked.

The day after the reunion, Paula & I went to Willow Glen to visit her sister Suzie. We went out to lunch and visited for the day; we had a really nice time.

While we were at the restaurant eating lunch, this lady came in with her dog that was all dressed up in a stroller. She started prompting the dog (in a very loud voice) to sing... and this was in front of everyone sitting at the tables!!! She was a looney tune for sure!! Here's a picture of her "baby".

Babysitting Charlie & Lizzy - July 22 - 26, 2010

Charlie & Lizzy stayed with us for a few days in July and we had a great time with the kids. Of course Vovo forgot that she's not 20 years old any more and should not be playing horsey rides with the kids. My back was sooooooo sore for the next few days!

Here we are in the front yard and Logan from next door came out to play with us.

This is what our floor looked like for 5 days... LOL

The community pool was a big hit with the kids... Charlie wore me out swimming back and forth and back and forth and back.... you get the idea.

Of course the park is always lots of fun.

Look at that mouth of hers!We took the kids to the Sacramento Zoo. Their favorite thing was the play area, even more so than the animals.

Charlie & Papa were playing around while we were waiting for the animal show to start.

I only posted a few pictures, but most of the pictures of the kids at the zoo were pics of their backs because they were always looking into the enclosures to see the animals!

Lizzy was brave and wanted to touch the snake and all the other little animals.

Yummy chocolate chip pancakes

Of course bath time is always a fun play time

Let's see how creative we can get with Play Doh

No, we did not get another dog. Some friends came over with their puppy so the kids could play with him.

The kids had a great time making all kinds of creatures. Charlie was especially creative.
