We have been working as volunteers for the Celebrity Golf Championship in Tahoe for 5 years. Our jobs are walking scorer (Hank) and I'm a standard bearer. Here we are on the 8th hole after an hour delay due to thunder and lightening.... a first for us at this tournament. This year we teamed up with Alfonso Ribeiro, Robbie Gould, twice with Herm Edwards (our favorite), and twice with Mike Eruzione. It's unusual that we would get the same people two days in a row, but it happened this year.
There are about 300 volunteers each year and they throw us a party on Saturday afternoon.

We have had the pleasure of teaming up with Herm Edwards (ESPN NFL Analyst, former NFL head coach) for the past couple of years. He and his good friend Joe (his caddie) are AWESOME people. They are so nice and friendly. Herm always thanks the volunteers, knowing that the tournament could not take place without the volunteers. He was being interviewed by NBC and he couldn't thank the volunteers enough on TV... he's great. He and Joe said they would request us to be teamed up with them in the future... nice compliment to us!!
Here are the party holes... 17 & 18. There are lots of "fun" people that motor their boats to the beach to watch and interact with the celebrities. Saturday and Sunday are the crazy days and people get "happy" on the beach.
