Good Friends

I just spent 5 days in the Bay Area and visited with some good friends. This is Becky and Holly, long time friends from grammar and high school.

I worked with this group of ladies at Adaptec and have been friends with them since the early 90's. We get together a couple of times a year. Oh yeah.... John (Cynthia's husband) who is also in the picture is officially "one of the girls" ... LOL

Here are the latest cards I've made over the last few months. I just love learning new techniques and I have the BEST demonstrator, I learn so much from her.

Catta Bella Ladies Invitational - September 9 - 11, 2010

I played in the Catta Bella Ladies golf tournament in September. The theme this year was New York, New York. It started off with a putting contest Thursday night with competition play on Friday and Saturday. Here's our awesome team.

Sabrina & Debbie have a really LOW index's... and then there's Susan and me.... really HIGH index's. Susan & I got lots of pops on the holes to "even us out" on the score card.

Sabrina & Debbie = Our awesome bosses, we did whatever they suggested as far as reading the greens, strategy plays, etc.

One of the par 3's was decorated as the Empire State Building; notice the ape is holding a Barbie doll... too funny.

We wanted to have a team name, so we called ourselves the "Waybish" team (two last names put together). We had such a good time that I was already invited back next year to play on the Waybish team... these girls are so cool.

Wherever I go I always see "Hank's" name on something... go figure. And that's the year I was born!

WOOFstock - August 29, 2010

WOOFstock is a local event which is held each year in Rocklin. It's theme is based on "Woodstock" and the hippies, but with dogs. A lot of people dress up in the 60's style and they dress up their dogs too! I have never seen so many dogs in one place, it's a lot of fun if you're a dog over. They have dog relays, tricks, cutest dressed, most talented and a lot more categories. Sometimes the police bring their dogs and they will see how fast they can run by using their radar guns on them.

This dog was all dressed up doing tricks, he was very cute.

I just fell in love with this dog. He was such a gentle giant.

Fun with Wong's - August 16-18, 2010

We drove to Pleasanton and stayed with George & Carol for a couple of days. We played golf at Wente Golf Course in Livermore. It was unseasonably COLD. I obviously didn't pack properly and was cold the whole weekend. It eventually warmed up and we enjoyed our game.

The course is very pretty as it goes along the vineyards. Here is Lombard Street; check out the next picture of the cart path on Lombard.

Needless to say, I would NOT want to walk this course!!!

One day we played bocce ball; now that's a fun game. The girls kicked butt!!!!
