THANKSGIVING
We celebrated our annual Thanksgiving outing with the family at Jan’s house. We all had a great time with good conversations, laughs, and wonderful food.
CHRISTMAS
Our first Christmas celebration was a week prior to Christmas at Jim & Jessica’s house. There were 10 of us at this fun filled slumber party and we had so much fun!!!!
Of course the kids are always bouncing off the walls and ready to open presents. We always start off with opening stocking stuffers and that keeps them busy until we get to the main gifts later.
There’s always a lightsaber sword fight going on.
There’s usually a tickle fight too
Girly time… painting our nails.
The big kids (AKA the alduts) always start a pillow fight and the little kids just love getting involved. It’s fun watching them having so much fun with each other and their laughter is infectious.
CHRISTMAS
On December 26th we met up again in San Jose for another celebration. Lauren (15) was scheduled to fly out from Arizona. What we didn’t know was Matthew (21) surprised all of us and arrived with Lauren. It was a wonderful surprise and a gift to have all 6 grandkids together, which unfortunately doesn’t happen very often.
Matthew (21), Lauren (15), Charlie (10), Lizzy (8),
Joey (8), Alex (5)
I don’t know what the hell this scary thing is, but Alex loves it!!
The next day we met up with Hank’s Dad & Ida for a nice Christmas lunch.
BIRTHDAYS
We celebrated Charlie’s 11th birthday on January 21st. This kid is the Lego master!! He loves Lego’s and puts them together in record speed. The Lego shown in this picture has 4,295 pieces and he put it together in only a few days!!
Here is Charlie proudly showing off his masterpiece. He needs a warehouse just to store all the Lego’s he’s put together!!
I made him a Mindcraft birthday card. I usually try to get creative and make the kids cards of something they like. Charlie not only loves Lego’s, he’s into Mindcraft too.
It was also Pami’s birthday as well as mine, so we exchanged gifts. These 2 cards were made by Joey & Alex especially for Vovo. Apparently they think I’m much older than my 62 years of age (68 & 88)… LOL!!!
