I was off to Oregon for the weekend to visit Paula, my old high school buddy. We started off by getting spa pedicures, it was great to relax in the massaging chairs for an hour while we were pampered.
We took a 2 day road trip and had an awesome time. We walked on the beach a lot and on trails, enjoyed good food and wine, took lots of pictures, and of course talked the entire time! Here we are outside our hotel room watching the sunset and listening to the waves crashing on the beach, which was only a few steps away… it was so beautiful.

Here are just a few of the sights…
Starfish galore!!! I have never seen so many starfish on the beach, it was amazing!
This is the long beach we walked on at low tide and it’s where we found all the starfish. It’s unbelievable that at high tide this entire beach is covered by water.
Here’s a view of the high tide coming in. You can see where the beach is already being covered by water. Eventually all these rock areas were covered. You had to be careful and pay attention to the sea and not get stuck out there. We saw some people climbing on the rocks to get out of there because the beach was gone… just amazing.
The weekend ended with dinner with Paula’s kids. In this picture is her husband Whitney and their daughter Barbara. It was a GREAT weekend, just loved it.

In mid September Jimmy & Jessica had a date night in our neck of the woods, so we got to watch the kids… yippee! Papa was teaching Joey how to swing a golf club.
The next day we went to this awesome park in Lincoln and the kids (and adults) had a great time. Everything that Joey did, Alex had to do also.
The adults got into the act too… LOL
