It's been a busy couple of weeks...

Graham & Lynne came to visit us over the June 12th weekend. We haven't seen them in a very long time so it was a nice visit, although too short. We golfed and played billiards... a fun time.

My Dad's service on June 5th was beautiful. Sister Jane from hospice did a GREAT job speaking about Dad's life and saying a couple of prayers. We had a great slide show that I put together and we showed it at the service. We had the American Legion Post 419 (which Dad belonged to for many years) say a few words and saluted Dad, it was very nice. We finished the service with representation from the Army, they played the taps, did the formal walk, salute, folded this huge American flag and presented it to us. There were 10 family/friends that served in the military that stood up and saluted Dad also, it was so cool and very touching. There were a TON of people in attendance; we did not expect so many people! It was a great day (as strange as that sounds).

Sheila & Denise did a FABULOUS job on the food and the presentation XOXOXOXOXOXOXO!!!!!

Here are a few pictures from that day

These are my first cousins Karen and Doreen

Bless these girls... my very good friends from grammar school and high school attended the service.

Becky, Paula flew in from Oregon, & Holly

A bunch of Kris' high school friends were also the service. We all attended Mother Butler high school back in the early 70's. We had a great time reminiscing the fun and crazy high school days.

Auntie Jean & Uncle Jim have been long time friends with my parents. Kris & I grew up with their kids and we have lots of fond memories from the past.

My cousin Frank was the bartender

On May 31st, we participated in the Susan G. Komen Rally for the Cure Golf Tournament at Catta Verdera in Lincoln. There were 26 couples and we raised $1,050. We had a fun time while donating for a great cause.
