Fun Times

The Girls Get Together ROCKS!!!
Three to four times a year "the girls" get together for a day of laughs, great stories, good food, and a little crazy stuff thrown in and this December 19th didn't disappoint anyone! Here we are enjoying a beautiful day on the patio.
From left to right: Cynthia, Marcia, Julene, Kathy, Denise & Sheila
Cha-Cha and Parker joined us for the portrait
We had lots of 'beverages' to drink! Our party started at noon and we figured it was 5PM somewhere in the world, so we started drinking our 'beverages'.
Sheila & Denise were our hosts and the party was at their house in Santa Clara. They surprised all of us by having a white elephant gift giving event. There were some crazy "gifts" (and I use that term loosly) and we all had lots of laughs over them. Every gift had a story behind it which fit each person... LOL
No explanation needed for this book!!! hee-hee
Now this was the wierdest "gift" but once you know the story you'll understand. This collar and panel down the front is full of pretty beads. Denise cut it out of an old jacket. They know I make greeting cards and use glitterly stuff on the cards... hence the gift fits the person! I've already removed all the beads and they are ready to use on my cards.
Julene is the big gambler in the group and here she is opening a lier's dice cup. It's from Tijuana if that tells you anything!

OK ladies... why don't you just get a room for God's sake!!!
More good times...

Toasting to good friends

I miss my buddies, I used to see them every day at work.
Here's some of the good food we enjoyed.

The dogs had a good old time playing together.

What a Great Weekend with the Family

On November 21 & 22 the whole family was together to celebrate Michele's 40th birthday and Joey's baptism. Michele, Dema, Austin, Matthew and Lauren drove in from Arizona and boy did we have fun!

Michele's party was on the 21st and we had a house full of adults and kids, around 25 people. From left to right: Hank, Kathy, Pami, Michele, Rae, Jimmy, Jessica & Joey all toasting Michele. I hope you enjoy looking at a few of the many pictures we took.

The cousins had a ball playing together all day

Singing Happy Birthday to Michele

We spent the night at Jim & Jessica's and he had this outfit on the next morning, so I couldn't resist. He was at the baby gate and I grabbed the camera to capture this prison break!!! LOL, too funny.
The next day was Joey's baptism and he was all dressed up for the occasion. Isn't he just the cutest little boy ever in his little suit!!!
Father and son

Michele & Pami are the Godparents

Big cousins Charlie & Lauren watching over Joey

Matthew loves Joey and is a very good babysitter
Joey had enough after this big scary man in a white cape tried to drown him in a pool of water, then poured oil on his hair. He came back to the house and just wanted to take off his tie, roll up his sleeves and relax a little.
As you can see in this video that the children like the paper more than the gifts!!

Greeting Cards!!

Here are a few of the card's that I've made over the past 2 months in my class. I just love making these. Of course my demonstrator provides all the pretty paper, punches, inks, and stamps. I'm still building my inventory, but I'm getting there slow but sure. It is actually much better seeing them in person because some have glitter and dimension that you can't always see in the photos. Sorry, a couple of the pictures are turned the wrong way when I imported them and couldn't get them to turn the right way.
