This past Christmas it was our turn to host the celebration at our house. Although it was another whirlwind and chaotic weekend, we had so much fun and found the time to take some family photos.
The kids beds were complete with balloons and candy treats just waiting for them to arrive.
We had 2 cans of black olives and Alex ate most of them… the little booger! LOL He loaded up each finger with 10 olives and ate them from his fingers.
The kids are always so excited and love opening their stocking stuffers.
These 2 stocking stuffers were the biggest hits. Finger flash lights that attached to each finger with a rubber band.
And somehow the sound of the farting “whoopee cushion” brings out the laughter of young and old!! LOL
Papa & Charlie goofing around
This was the kids craft table to make placemats and name tags for our Christmas dinner.
Alex always the little ham in the family wearing Mommy’s boots.
The kids wonderful creations.
Our entry way for the weekend.
Can’t beat reindeer pancakes with bacon, sugar free candy, and whip cream… Yummy!!
We completed the weekend by going to the new release of Star Wars. The kids looked so cute in their outfits.
Charlie’s 10th Birthday Party – January 23rd
The kids got to pick out a cupcake of their choice.
Of course Lizzy’s cupcake was inhaled and finished before anyone else!!
Dinner Party at our House – February 2nd
We had a huge salad bar and invited our wonderful neighbors. A good time was had by all… a very enjoyable and fun evening. We enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner and dessert.
Here’s part of the hors d'oeuvres… a fruit platter made with kiwi’s, bananas, mandarines, and grapes… so yummy and healthy. The women loved it and the guys could care less.
We provided a salad bar with 22 topings. Our friends contributed by bringing homemade soup (thank you Patti), french bread (thank you Leah), dessert and after dinner drinks (thank you Pat)!!
Latest and greatest Kaia photos
My twin and my friend Michele. We work out together 6 days a week. We are called the twins because half the time we end up wearing the same thing (and we don’t plan it)!
In December we had a boxing class. Talk about a workout… we were working out so hard we steamed up the windows! But actually that’s a common occurrence at Kaia.
In late January we had a super hard workout in a parking garage. There were a lot of woman and a ton of fun. We ran up and down the ramps and the stairs of 5 stories for an hour, along with a short run. We worked our little tails off!!
I ran 3 1/2 miles on February 13th. I took my time and made it without stopping.
Greeting Cards
Here are a couple of cards I made. The pop-up Lego card was for my grandson Charlie. It turned out pretty good considering it was my first attempt at making one.
Lizzy’s First Communion is in May, so I made the invitations for the special event. The 5x5 postcard has the invitation on the front and Lizzy’s picture on the back. I embellished it with a cross and I made a pretty sleeve for the postcard.
GIRLS GONE WILD PARTY
February 27th
These women are so much fun and we try to get together a couple times a year. We celebrated our long time friendship and Marcia’s birthday. Of course we were mean to her and had all kinds of gag gifts for her. These bitches did the same thing to me on my last birthday… LOL!!
